The image on the left shows some crochet hearts I made for the ICU in my local hospital. During the Covid-19 Pandemic, the ICU in my local hospital were wanting crocheters and knitters to make hearts for Covid patients in the ICU. They were to be made in pairs – one heart would go to the patient, and the other would go to their family. This ensured they were always connected, as there were to be no visitors in the hospital to try and reduce the spread of the virus.
The image on the right is a pair of purple hearts for a colleague and her partner. They had to cancel their wedding due to the virus, so to mark the day, they wanted friends and family to send photos of things purple, as this was their colour theme for their wedding. So I decided to make two purple hearts for them both to mark this very special day.
