On the months running up to Christmas, I made a number of angels (2 different types).

The first (pictured above) was upon the request of a friend. She got in touch asking if I could make an angel for her sister’s birthday, as she loved angels. I had never made one before, but I was up for the challenge. So, I searched for a crochet angel that I liked, and I found this little beauty. Pattern from all free crochet.

The standard sized one (made with aran wool) was a little smaller than I thought, which is why I then bought some chunky wool to make the giant one. I then had my mum fall in love with them and place an order for a giant one, and many standard sized ones! Oh, and my grandmas have requested one too! Looks like many more angels were brought to this Earth on the run up to Christmas.

The second angel (pictured below) is one my mum found, from Just Pootling (highly recommend following on Instagram, she has some amazing things). So the angel from this pattern, resulted me in crocheting with some yarn I have never crocheted with before – Sirdar Ophelia – This was a fluffy type of yarn. It was rather difficult to use, as the fluffiness needed to be on the outside. The yarn for the hair, on the other hand, I fell in love with. It was just so soft.

For the bow, I bought some ribbon, then learnt how to make a fork bow. It was rather fiddly, but I soon got the hang of it (after many, many failed attempts).

I made 3 of these, one for my mum, and one for each of my Grandparents. I attached some golden thread to the back so she could be hung up on the Christmas tree.
