Angharad is a surfer. In her VW camper she travels the south coast of the UK chasing waves in all seasons. A seaside donkey, who never got over the feel of sand and taste of salt, she’s enjoying her retirement in a wetsuit with no obligation to carry children around. She takes her cream tea with the jam first and is mortally offended if it’s raspberry not strawberry. She is a collector of shells and unusual stones and can always be caught on the beach with her ass in the air happily minding her own business.
This is a TOFT pattern from the book ‘Edwards menagerie’. Angharad took my eye as soon as I saw the pattern and picture in my crochet book. I love donkeys, and this little one was just to good to not make. She was made for a very good friend from University as a Christmas present. When she was finished, I loved her! Loved her so much, for Christmas, my mum got me some chunky wool to make a giant Angharad. There is an image below to show the size of her when she was finished.
I made a third Donkey for one of TAs at work. She loves cream teas and afternoon teas, so this little animals would suit her just fine!
