Bridget has a sweet tooth. More than anything else in the world, she loves baking cakes, scones, cookies and more cakes….but in particular, custard tarts. As a young elephant, she would spend hours having tea parties with her
dolls and she never really grew out of it. Nowadays, her idea of a good party is a baby shower: the glory of baking the best cake, no pressure to swap her cup and saucer for a wine glass, and lots of baby chat. One day, she’ll make
the best mummy a calf could hope for, but for now she’s determined to stay focused on tomorrow’s diet and meeting the man of her dreams.
This is a TOFT pattern from the book ‘Edwards menagerie’. My mum fell in love with Bridget. So, she was made for my mum for Christmas. Although, I may have told my mum a little white lie. I began to make Bridget whilst I was doing the TOFT advent calendar (explained below), so I told my mum Bridget would not be finished in time for Christmas. Of course, she was, and my mum was very surprised and over the moon.
As a surprise, I bought the pattern to make a mini Bridget. She was so cute, and it currently living on my mum’s bed side table.
